History

In 1999 Apostle Burgos sensed the Lord leading him toward equipping, preparing and sending people to the nations and world. Education being relevant to equipping Frank decided to go to seminary where he received his MA in Theology in 2003.  The sense of call for the preparation of the saints became so apparent that he further became involved in the development of the Certificate in Ministry program in 2006 at Northeastern Seminary at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, N.Y.  Frank then served and still serves as the director for the certificate programs.  Through the program and relationships with the local churches Frank found himself beginning to work on what God had laid in his heart in 1999.  He began to equip men and women to then be able to go out into their local churches and to put into practice what they acquired in the program.  God further opened the doors for him, his wife Rebeca and children Raquel and Frankie to be able to work hand in hand with local churches in the development of their leadership where Apostle Burgos became fully engaged with the inner workings and spiritual growth of a local church where he ministered for 4.5 years.

At the end of 2013 sensing a leading by the Holy Spirit to multiply, Horizon Church was formed becoming Apostle Burgos' first church plant.  This new church plant began the first Sunday in 2014 utilizing the church facility of Spencerport Assembly of God Church where Frank was an elder for many years and was commissioned as a minster and apostle.  As the Lord laid in Frank’s heart in 1999 the mission of Horizon Church is to equip by teaching the truth according to the sacred scriptures, prepare the saints in the practical where they will become involved in ministry development and practice and finally to send a team of ready vessels to the nations and world.  Being strategic is essential not only in teaching but also in location.  In 2016 the Lord began to direct Frank to seek a new church location where they could minister to the people group placed in their care and for six months he searched and in mid-August they came upon a great location in Greece, N.Y., where they began the first Sunday in September 2016 and are currently ministering.
